I know breakfast is said to be the most important meal in the day, but seriously it is also my FAVORITE meal of the day! The food is just so good; bacon, eggs, toast, butter, cereal, hollandaise sauce, pancakes, french toast, maple syrup, fried tomatoes, berry compote. Just a few of my favorite breakfast ingredients that, when combined correctly,can make me happy for the rest of the day!

Just as importantly as our physical breakfast is our spiritual breakfast! I don’t know about you, but often I am guilty of waking up, checking my phone for messages, checking Facebook, or turning on the TV, before continuing on with my day. All without a thought to the condition of my heart and soul or how my attitude is towards the day.

When I consistently (key) and purposefully lay aside the very first part of my day to sit with God, read the word, pray and declare His promises and truths over my day. I find a joy in my heart, a peace in my soul and a spring in my step to overcome whatever I face today. God asks for the best and the first of all we have (time, talents, finances) and in return He promises to look after our physical needs.
‘But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well'( Matthew 6:33).

On a side note, I made gluten free pancakes with berry and white chocolate compote for breakfast this morning. Ate it all before I thought of snapping a photo. Sorry. You’ll be happy to know it was REALLY good ;).
